Siamaze Hostel Bangkok
In such a big and energetic city as Bangkok, you’ll find plenty of hotels for everyone’s needs. But we didn’t stayed at a hotel and instead chose a hostel because we like to meet people from all over the world. This time we went on vacation with two friends, one of them never staying at a hostel before. We chose Siamaze Hostel, situated on a more quitter area on Ratchadapisek Road, close to the Suthisan metro station. The four of us wanted to share a room so we chose the “family” room, which has a double bed and bunk beds.
You’ll find the Siamaze Hostel in a four story building and it’s perfect for those of you who want a little peace and quiet. They have deluxe, twin an family rooms with their own bathrooms and 4 to 8 dorms with shared bathroom. The check-in is after 2:00 PM and the check-out at 12:00 Am, with the reception area being opened from 07:00 AM to 23:00 PM. Breakfast is from 07:15 AM to 11:00 AM and you cook your own meal. You’ll find some frying pans and lots and lots of eggs. There’s also toast, butter, jam, fresh fruits and biscuits, plus juices, coffee and tea. You can eat in the lounge and also outside, but since it was very hot, everybody wanted a table inside. We find the breakfast experience to be the best one, because you meet the other guests and find interesting things about them.
The wi-fi is free and you are given a password for each device that you have. If you have laundry, there’s also a washing machine and a dryer. There are also parking spaces for those of you who are brave enough to rent a car in Bangkok (seriously, the traffic is insane!). What else we found cool about this hostel? Every Monday they have cooking classes where you learn how to make traditional dishes and every Friday there’s a barbecue party. We really enjoyed our room, it was spacious enough that we didn’t mind our exploding baggages lying around. But what we liked the most was the location. After walking around the chaos that is Bangkok (we loved it, by the way), it was really nice to go back to a more quiet and relaxing area.
You can find more about them and the room prices on their official website www.siamaze.com.
