10 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World
It’s so cold outside and the whole country is still under lots of snow so that’s why we allowed ourselves to dream about warmer places. The ideal thing to do would be to go away during winter time and return home only when the temperatures are back to normal and it’s warmer outside. And since we can’t teleport when and where we’d like to, we have to settle for looking at the pretty pictures on our computer screens and imagine that we’re on a sunny beach sipping on a cocktail. We selected 10 places and beaches where we’d like to be right now.
- Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Leh, Thailand. The second largest island of the Phi Phi Islands, Maya Bay became world famous after the 2000 movie The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed there and today many tourists come to Koh Phi Phi just to see this beach. The bay has superb marine life and is a favorite spot for divers.

- Bali, Indonesia. Bali, the most well known travel place in Indonesia. Ever since we’ve read “Eat, Pray, Love’ we imagined ourselves gazing over the rice fields and relaxing on the beach. There are many types of beach in Bali, from those with big rocks created by corals or lava to those covered wholly with white or black sand. So depending what you look to do at the beach, there are a number of beaches for you to choose from. Balangan Beach and Canggu are on top of the list in best beaches for Bali, perfect for surfing and relaxation.

- Tulum, Mexico. When you think of Mexico, Cancun and Cabo San Lucas are the destinations that come to mind because they are highly recommended by the tour operators. But if we’ve learned something from the telenovelas is that Mexicans prefer to go to Acapulco or Playa Del Carmen. The one that caught our eyes was Tulum, situated on the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is the perfect place for tourists who want to relax but also want to learn a bit more about Mayan culture Tulum being built around 1200 AD.

- Anse Source D’Argent, La Digue, Seychelles. Anse Source D’Argent is located on La Digue, one of the smaller islands of the Seychelles. It is one of the most photographed beaches in the world and featured in countless travel magazines. One of the world’s top beaches, Anse Source D’Argent contains a winning combination of large dark boulders on the coastline, coupled with pink sand beaches and coconut palms.

- Eagle Beach, Aruba. Eagle Beach in Aruba is one of the most breathtaking beaches on the island, famous for its pristine and soft white sands. Eagle Beach is also home to two of the most photographed fofoti trees in Aruba, with its trademark silhouette pointing in the direction of the Caribbean. They are extremely popular to serve as a backdrop for wedding photo sessions.

- Matira Beach, Bora Bora, French Polynesia. Matira is perhaps the most famous of Tahiti’s beaches, and for good reason. This stretch of powder-white sand is in perfect contrast with the emerald lagoon, backed by a thick curtain of palms and tropical plants. Added bonus: It’s one of the only public-access beaches in Bora Bora, so you won’t need to pay five-star resort prices to enjoy its beauty.
- Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Australia. Whitehaven Beach is a 7 km stretch along Whitsunday Island, Australia. The island is accessible by boat from the mainland tourist ports of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour, as well as Hamilton Island. As soon as you arrive it’s easy to see why it is the most photographed beach in Australia.

- Seven Mile Beach, Negril, Jamaica. Flanked by epic cliffs, it’s one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in the world. Although it’s called Seven Mile, it’s actually six miles long. Negril’s Seven-Mile Beach has been voted many times over as one of the best 10 beaches in the world. Aside from the beautiful beaches, Negril has a colorful nightlife, with parties everywhere.

- Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda. One of the most popular of beaches on the island, a part of South Shore Park in Southampton Parish, Horseshoe Bay has a hidden secret – Port Royal Cove, with shallow water perfect for kids, and dramatic rock formations that compliment the soft, pink sand.

- Matemwe, Zanzibar. The traditional fishing village of Matemwe, on the northeastern coast of Zanzibar, has a large, palm-fringed beach lined with a few quiet resorts. Just off shore is the Mnemba Atoll, home to some of the best scuba diving in East Africa.
